A Yoga course of ten personalized lessons, one to one (1:1) and live online, which combines the physical benefits of Hatha Yoga to the principles of Mindfulness, through Asana (physical postures), Prāṇāyāma (breath control) and guided meditations.
The benefits of Yoga
The psychophysical benefits deriving from the practice of Yoga are increasingly evident, not only thanks to testimonies from users and training centers, but also because they are supported by scientific studies and contributions from doctors.
The benefits are variable in the short and long term: it is in fact possible to go from relaxation and improvement in flexibility deriving from the first lessons, to improvement muscle tone, the reduction of chronic pain and back pain, the reduction of the production of cortisol (the stress hormone) and much more, which can be achieved with consistency in Yoga practice and the execution of targeted and personalized long-term lessons.
In this regard, I will only mention some research publications that you can delve deeper into with a short online search:
-Pascoe, Michaela C.; Bauer, Isabelle E. (September 1, 2015). "Una revisione sistematica delle prove di controllo randomizzate sugli effetti dello yoga sulle misure di stress e sull'umore". Journal of Psychiatric Research. 68: 270-282
-Wang J, Xiong X, Liu W (2013). "Yoga for essential hypertension: a systematic review". PLoS ONE. 8 (10): e76357
-Uebelacker LA, Epstein-Lubow G, Gaudiano BA, Tremont G, Battle CL, Miller IW (January 2010). "Hatha yoga for depression: critical review of the evidence for efficacy, plausible mechanisms of action, and directions for future research". J Psychiatr Pract. 16 (1): 22–33
I would also like to point out a very short video reported on Corriere Tv on 3 February 2019 in which Professor Nicola Montano, head of Internal Medicine at the Polyclinic of Milan and president of the European Federation of Internal Medicine, explains the scientific evidence that often leads people to say that yoga is good for you. The doctor illustrates the individual beneficial effects and how they are measured, for example on blood pressure and inflammation levels and points out that meditation is one of the two factors that is best for you, acting on cortisol and therefore on stress. – (How the positive effects are measured and for how long it must be practiced - edited by Luigi Ripamonti / CorriereTV)
Why Wellness Yoga?
The objective of this course, or rather path, is to lead you, through ten Yoga lessons personalized based on your needs, to improve your flexibility and physical strength and to facilitate the rebalancing of your breathing as an access point to mindfulness practices. You will thus acquire tools and good habits that you can also maintain independently in the long term.
The path includes an initial part of practical training linked to basic Asanas, alignments and Prāṇāyāma, to then continue with physical preparation sessions and focus on strength Asana and routines that can help your physical condition, to finally arrive at complete Hatha Yoga practices with guided meditation at the end.
As always, it is a personalized path for the student: the lessons are live online one to one (1:1) with Google Meet .
